I have been to Denta Vac three times now from CT, USA and am very happy with them. Hazel is wonderful and will help you through the whole process from what you will need to get there and home to where to stay, the weather at that time of year and even help you through bouts of homesickness if you are alone and stressed. She is fabulous and I cant see how I would be able to handle the whole process from start to finish without her. Juan their driver is a sweetheart and gets you where you need to be despite not speaking much English. Dr Baez was so nice and down to earth and made the process and arrangements for the different dentists to be there during my stay to get the work done during the five days we had planned. He then made sure I was okay and that I got to the hotel to rest. I had all my top teeth removed and 5 implants put in. I love them there. All of them. After being homesick while there I actually missed everyone when I got home. I am looking forward to my next visit in 4 months. And Costa Rica is an absolute paradise it has everything you could want to experience from Volcanoes to tropical forests and beautiful wild life and beaches.Patient was treated by Denta Vac Dental Clinic Costa Rica Jul 28, 2021

Tooth replacement procedures in Costa Rica are typically performed by dentists or oral surgeons who have received specialized training in implant dentistry. The specific steps of the tooth replacement procedure can vary depending on the type of implant being placed and the specific needs of the patient. However, here is a general outline of the steps that are typically involved: Initial consultation: The dentist will examine the patient's mouth and take x-rays to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Preparation of the implant site: If necessary, the dentist will prepare the site in the jawbone where the implant will be placed by removing any damaged or diseased tissue and ensuring that the bone is strong enough to support the implant. Placement of the implant: The implant, which is typically made of titanium, is inserted into the prepared site in the jawbone. The implant is left to heal and integrate with the surrounding bone for a period of several months. Attachment of the abutment: Once the implant has fully integrated with the bone, the dentist will attach an abutment, or connector, to the implant. Placement of the crown: The dentist will take impressions of the patient's mouth and use these to create a custom crown, which will be attached to the abutment. The crown is made to match the shape, size, and color of the patient's natural teeth. Tooth replacement procedures in Costa Rica are typically performed under local anesthesia or intravenous sedation, depending on the specific needs and preferences of the patient. The procedure is usually completed in a single day, although multiple visits may be required in some cases. What Things should I Know before Considering Dental implants in Costa Rica? Your dentist can evaluate your mouth and determine whether dental implants are a good option for you. Research the dental practice and the dental team: It's important to choose a reputable and experienced dental practice and dental team for your implant procedure. Look for a practice that has a good track record and positive reviews from previous patients. Understand the costs and payment options: Dental implants can be expensive, so it's important to understand the costs involved and to explore financing and payment options. Ask the dental practice about any financing options or payment plans that may be available. Consider the location: Costa Rica is a popular destination for dental tourism, and there are many dental practices located throughout the country. Consider the location of the dental practice and whether it is convenient for you to travel to. Understand the risks and benefits: As with any medical procedure, dental implants carry some risks, including the possibility of infection, nerve damage, and failure of the implant to integrate with the bone. It's important to understand these risks and to discuss them with your dentist before deciding to proceed with the procedure. Who are the best dental implant dentists in Costa Rica?
A dental implant is a surgical component that interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge, denture, facial prosthesis or to act as an orthodontic anchor. The basis for modern dental implants is a biologic process called osseointegration where materials, such as titanium, form an intimate bond to bone. The implant fixture is first placed, so that it is likely to osseointegrate, then a dental prosthetic is added. A variable amount of healing time is required for osseointegration before either the dental prosthetic (a tooth, bridge or denture) is attached to the implant or an abutment is placed which will hold a dental prosthetic. All dentists performing dental implants should be licensed in one or both of the two areas of cosmetic dentistry: Prosthodontics and Orthodontics. Also, depending on the procedures, all dentists performing dental implants should be familiar with full mouth reconstructive surgery, various types of imaging, CAD/CAM restoration etc. Examples of associations dental implant surgeons should belong to: The Costa Rican Dental Surgeons College The American Dental Association The American Association for Endodontics The Costa Rican Academy of Endodontics The Costa Rican Academy of Specialists in Periodontics The best dental implant surgeons in Costa Rica: Dr. Delfin Barquero DaVinci’s Esthetic and Implant Dentistry After graduating from Universidad de Costa Rica with his dental degree, Dr. Barquero earned prosthodontist certification. What should I expect throughout the process in terms of pain, recovery time, eating, etc.? What type of anesthesia do you use? What are the risks of the treatment option you're recommending?
